National Crime Victims' Rights Week

“When we say the Resiliency Center serves ‘victims of crime,’ we know many individuals aren’t aware that they qualify as a victim, let alone know about their rights or the free services and support we offer,” says Resiliency Center Coordinator Jayna Burkey. “National Crime Victims’ Rights Week gives us the perfect opportunity to have that conversation with the community and invite them in to our Center, whether it is for services or for community events. Our mission is to help our community build resiliency, which we know happens through connection. So, come connect with us and other community members!”

Hope Board Unveiling / Kickoff to Mental Health Awareness Month @ Parcell's Perk Coffee Shop

From 8-11a, Resiliency Center Coordinator Jayna Burkey will be set up at Parcell’s Perk Coffee Shop in Benton to unveil a Hope Board. The Hope Board was created in partnership by MCRC and Parcell’s Perk for community members to write and leave words of hope to leave for others, or to take words of encouragement for themselves. During that timeframe, Parcell’s will provide free, small coffees to those who contribute to the Hope Board! Join us in lifting others up as we kick off Mental Health Awareness Month!
